D1.1 Codebook Workshop
The 10 hours of instruction provide a "road map" through the Code, emphasizing the ability to locate important paragraphs, charts, and tables quickly, which is crucial to understanding the Code when working under stressful deadlines. In addition to practice questions, a practice exam will be administered, and the instructor will illustrate the use of the Code under time constraints, creating deadline pressure similar to the test environment. The D1.1 Codebook Workshop prepares participants for the Codebook Interpretation section (Part C) of the CWI exam.

- How to correctly interpret specifying documents
- Sure-fire methods to avoid common pitfalls with any Code
- The proper terminology that gets you to the right section of the Code -- quickly
- How to use any codebook to find the information needed in an efficient manner
Fundamentals of Welding Seminar
20 hours on all facets of welding processes and nondestructive examination. The Fundamentals of Welding Seminar prepares participants for the Fundamentals section (Part A) of the CWI exam.

Visual Inspection Workshop
This workshop provides 10 hours of expert instruction in the use of inspection tools, followed by "hands-on" learning for the balance of the workshop. This training incorporates plastic replicas of welds that mirror the actual plastic specimens that will be used in the exam. Also, hands-on training will incorporate welded metal samples to prepare for real-world inspections. The Visual Inspection workshop prepares participants for the Practical section (Part B) of the CWI exam.

- We offer a 2 week (40 hour) evening CWI prep course.
- Our course is taught by Certified Welding Educators (CWE), Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI), Certified Welding Engineers (CWEng), and Non-Destructive Testing Level III (NDT III) professionals.
- 40 Professional Development Hours (PDH)
- Seminar will be streamed online and recorded for online learning students
- Cost: $945
- Less than half the price of the AWS CWI Prep Seminar of $2098
- Reduced pricing available if participating in only selected workshops of the prep course
- Price does not include AWS books
- Course will prepare participants for examination on AWS D1.1 2015
- Military Veterans and their eligible spouses and children can have CWI exam costs covered by the GI Bill
